DJ Storm

 DJ Storm

Bass and Beauty

Inspired by nightlife’s raw human energy, Storm conquers both
beauty and bass in her passions as a DJ and model. Having
appeared in a number of national campaigns, her interest in being a
DJ began while she was living in Europe and traveling globally.
Exposure to different cultures allowed her to gain a taste for various
music genres and is directly represented in her ability to deliver to
diverse crowds through House, Top 40, and Electronic Dance Music.
Her success crosses over into a setting dominated by bright lights
and massive drops as fans and DJs are both entranced by her
musical talents.
In her foray into the world of DJing, Storm has opened for Kaskade
at the Staples Center as well as headlined at venues such as
Supperclub, Roxbury, Lure, and performed at international clubs
such as Club Vitrin in Turkey. Her corporate champions include the
Emmy’s, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Skechers, and LA Fashion
Week. Storm’s most recent accomplishments include
advertisements for Samsung Galaxy and Chevy Spark. She has also
been featured in the pages of Vogue, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Vibe,
Lucky and W magazine and has also been the face in ad campaigns
for Lexus, Target, OPI, GNC, Fiat, Old Navy and more.
Never forgetting that this business is an art, Storm prides herself on
being able to read her crowd and deliver versatile music based on
their needs. And in the midst of the music and the crowd, you can’t
help but notice that she also makes the party LOOK so good.

 Frank Nitty

Frank Nitty

began his career in the SF Rave Scene at a party called “Elmo”. It was at this party, he would meet up with his future partner in crime, “DJ Ghost” along with his future production company. In 94′, Frank Nitty and two promoters from “Elmo” started up a production company called “Small World Productions”. Together they threw numerous parties at the infamous warehouse located at 16th and Harrison or also known as the “Hayes Theater”. Among these parties were “It’s a small world”, and “Indonesia”. The line-ups for these parties consisted of “DJ Dan”, “Donald Glaude”, “Simon”, “Jeno”, “Frank Nitty” and “DJ Ghost”. “Indonesia” was such a success, that it became a weekly Wednesday nightclub and was moved to club “DV8”. Frank Nitty and Small World Productions had split up and gone there separate ways in 1995. Frank Nitty went on continuing to spin at numerous parties. In October of 95′, Frank Nitty threw a party on his own called “Planet E” which was his most successful solo adventure. It was in May of 96′ that Frank Nitty and DJ Ghost were billed as a four-turntable act at a party called “Enchantment”. This act had later gotten them booked for a party called “Megga Buzz”. In June of 96′, Frank Nitty threw “Indonesia 2 The Reunion” which was Indonesia’s two-year anniversary. The party had a small turnout but had a good vibe. The line up consisted of the regulars at the weekly Wednesday Indonesia in 94′, such as “Jeno”, “Frank Nitty”, “DJ Ghost” and “Kwashi”. In September, Frank Nitty and DJ Ghost played at “Megga Buzz” on four-turntables at the infamous rave warehouse, “HomeBase” in Oakland, California. Their performance together was instant chemistry that it astonished the crowd in overwhelming excitement. Soon afterwards, Frank Nitty joined Ghostribe and stopped promoting parties. From 1997 to 1999, Frank Nitty and DJ Ghost playing their now famous 4 turntable act rocked countless massives at the HomeBase warehouse. In 99′, Frank Nitty created his alter ego “Danja” playing jump up drum and bass with partna “Spek”. Danja’s first release was “Dangerous Muzik”. Danja and Spek then went on to collaborate on a CD called “JungleGround”. At the end of 99′, a new member was added to the Ghostribe Krew, “MC Ragga Banton”. MC Ragga Banton began to work with Danja and Spek using his dance hall ragga style over hip hop flavored drum and bass. In 2000 Frank Nitty got involved with a radio show that opened up the airwaves to underground music. Hosted by Wild 94.9’s St. John , Frank Nitty and the Ghostribe Krew rock the funky beats every other Friday 2001 the radio show HouseNation was the #1 mix show in the bay area. In 2003 Frank Nitty hung up his headphones and went on hiatus. In 2007 Frank Nitty started a skateboard company ironically named Ghostribe Skateboards. In 2010, after a 7 year hiatus, Frank Nitty rejoined the cast of HouseNation and was featured on 99.7 NOW every Saturday night up until the end of 2012.
In 2011 Frank Nitty, Ross FM and Krishna Lee formed Cloud 10 Events and began portfolio of successful event projects such as WOMP, Stereo Love, Womp Island 420 and BPM. DJ Thrawn (FOREPLAY-SF RESIDENT DJ)– Has been making a splash in the sunny California music scene. After just a few years in the industry DJ Thrawn has already preformed at some of the most respected clubs on the West Coast.

DJ Thrawn has had the privilege of preforming with names such as DJ Skribble, DJ Gerry Roberts, DJ Romero Rays, DJ Playboi, Jazzy Jim, DJ MStyles, Naughty J, Dave Matthias, Eddie Santana, Amy Robbins, Saint John, Rock-it Scientists, Mikey Swift, and Twist Mix just to name a few. Thrawn has a unique style of collaboration due to his roots in Dance/Progressive House, then he made an aggressive move towards the Hip-Hop/Top-40 scene in 2009. However, Thrawn has come full circle back to House music with a Hip-Hop edge. Thrawn’s ability to control a crowd and keep the bottles flowing is unmatched. As a result of being a Mobile DJ in the beginning stages of his career, one of the first things he mastered was reading the crowd and using precise selection to keep the crowd moving. With a collection piled high of Classic Rock, Today’s hits, and yesterday’s hip-hop classics he will commonly do mash-ups on the fly and keep the selection fresh.

Equipment: Technics 1200s or Pioneer CDJ-1000/800, Pioneer 909 or 800, Novation Dicers, MacBook Pro, and Scratch Live.

Amy Robbins is well on her way to accomplishing a great deal in the world of EDM, both in the scene and behind it. After growing up Washington, D.C. suburb Potomac, Maryland, she moved to California to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at San Jose State University. Two years into the program, she changed direction entirely, to Radio, Television, and Film. Together with her background in programming, web development, and graphic design, she now combines her interests as a developer in the back end of the Internet with her true niche – working in the entertainment industry. Amy has been a Gold Rush Cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers, a radio personality with 90.5 FM KSJS, an Elite Entertainment DJ/MC, video editor for SJSU-related events, and host for a number of events sponsored by Red Bull and others. Amy began her DJ career in 2010 working at weddings, and continued this passion as a radio DJ a few months later. Her love for performing has led her to the club scene, where she exposes her crazy energy and passion for electronic dance music to the audience. Amy is the life of the party, whether she is behind the tables or on the dance floor. Amy also has a passion for fitness, which inspired her to create “Stairmaster Enthusiasm” — a series of workout mixes that feature the DJs she most admires, such as Kap Slap, R3hab, and Simo. These mixes have been heard by people all over the country, and the growing support of fans has led to production of many more mixes in the series. She has also begun to leverage her knowledge of web development and graphic design to branch in to music production. Just watching her, it’s clear Amy thrives on EDM and is more than enthused to share the experience with new and veteran DJs. Her love for supporters and respect for the vets shape her every performance and she always strives to be the best and to draw the biggest crowds when being welcomed by a new audience. She encourages all that are interested to explore her website and social media pages to get to know her ridiculous but warm personality.
